For the Love of Hyacinth

I've been thinking a lot lately about buying a potted plant. I'll have to convince the Airman of the neccessity of one, but that shouldn't be to difficult, he's a very understanding guy, and he's finally starting to grasp the whole concept of "girl = need to amass pretty things" (we can't help it, it's ingrained in us). Anyways, I want a plant that is first A) pretty and smells nice, B) the color purple and C) is more on the hearty side (I'm a novice caretaker, there's a chance I may kill it). After much research, deabate and some trips to the grocery store for the sole purpose of studying the flowers - don't tell the Airman - I think I've finally decided on a flower I like.

The Hyacinth

I would almost be okay giving up the color purple if I could find one in this shade.
