Taping Into The Inner Kid

Speaking of brilliant ideas, The Airman had one when we were planning out our weekend. See, we've been feeling very mature around here lately, what with all the cooking, cleaning, working and general bill paying that comes with married life. In fact, we've been feeling a bit too mature. So it was decided that, needing a break, from adulthood that is, we would take a little journey back to our younger selves. And what better way to tap into your inner child than to build a tent and camp out in your living room. That's right, Airman and I went on an indoor camping trip just like we did when we were five, and it was all my wonderful husband's idea (did I mention I love that man).

The tent was constructed using two sheets and the Airman's mad ductaping skills. For the rest of the evening we were only allowed to do childish things, like pigging out on junk food and creeping ourselves out by reading short stories by Edgar Allen Poe. It was a grand time, fun was had by all, and it was exactly what we needed. Zero responsibility, zero worries. And, if we just so happened to slip up and do an adult thing once, or twice (ahem), it would be completely understandable. After all, we were just kids.

I'm starting to wonder what those adult things you did once or twice were.......ahem.
