Toast: Spring 2010

Sorry I haven't been updating lately. The Airman has had some extra time off and so I have been gladly spending it with him. In that time I've thought about a million things I could show you/ talk to you about, only, along with neglecting my need to post regularly, I have failed to keep track of any of the websites/ ideas I could use. (Shame on me.) This shall be the begginning of a very lengthy reconnaissance mission to find them all.

That being said the first thing I want to talk about is the new Toast magazine. I got my copy in the mail the other day and have hardly set it down since then. The first thing I noticed when I pulled it out of it's plastic sheath emblazoned with the sticker proclaiming I'm important enough to recieve international mail - even if it is just a catalogue - is that they went back to their old paper. This is a wonderful turn of events not only because I liked the old style better, but because of the distinctive smell that paper has. I want to bottle it and use it as perfume, though I think people would probably tell me I stink - it smells like ink and something else unidentifiable that tickles your nostrils. Still, I love the smell because it means that I am holding a Toast magazine, and what could be better then that?

unidetifiable smell = vegetable based ink and recycled paper.

I love that smell too. I'm glad they went back to the old style. I cannot wait to get the house&home lookbook. It's always my favorite.

hope your reconnaissance mission goes well. I like seeing things that inspire you. :)
