Movie Inspiration: The Uninvited
Continuing on with the theme of clothing as inspiration, I've really found myself appreciating the costumes actors wear in movies. Not only are they often beautiful and antique, if they come from a period piece, but they are often used as a tool by the director to either say something about the character or mask something about them. I found the later to be true in the movie The Uninvited Even though the main character is a soon to be murderous the whole movie she is portrayed as a innocent young girl, and the directors build on that with her clothing choices. She's dressed in bright little sun dresses and flowy blouses that scream more flower child than psycho killer, and it works. You suspect nothing until the surprise ending. Just goes to show the power clothing has on perception.

Just makes you think about how changing your own clothing can change other peoples perception of you.
Clothing is a fun way to reinvent yourself everyday.
btw: thanks for giving the ending away... :)
